For my first mix I would like to pay tribute to my father who died suddenly aged 45 in the summer 2006.
It is dedicated to a man with integrity, passionate about the world he lived in and tried to understand its darkness and light especially through music & art. My father felt that the music you believed in also defined you as a person, he actually said that the fact he was a 'Swans' fan helped define him in itself.
The songs here represent pain, loss, and suffering aswell as the dreamlike beauty of life. With the last song being the first one I listened to after he died.
It is powerful emotional music, very personal, but I feel strongly that this mix can help anyone who understands what its like to deal with the death of a loved one.
Father you were an inspiration to me, Love, Your Son.
