Darren Scott was born Darren Scott Winkler on April 16, 1968. He was a member of the bands Young Professionals and Liyeza. He enjoyed his success during the early 90's. With their pop/world pop sound, the band had national attention for their hit song: Overnight Express which was accompanied by a video played on MTV. Scott spent time in Los Angeles, New York and the UK during the late 80's and 90's and later returned to his home town of Worthington, Ohio. Burned out from the road and the music scene in general, Darren Scott went into semi-seclusion for several years doing commercial work and producing here and there. After a near breakdown and total loss of direction, Darren Scott found a new direction in film production and directing. Darren Scott created an independent film company (Parthenogenesis Film Works) and MultiMedia Group International, which is in production on it's third feature film. Darren Scott is also the publisher of Ohio Musician Magazine, "An on-line publication of articles, blogs, and videos featuring Ohio Musicians. Although Darren Scott is no longer recording music, as a solo artist he still writes and records for film. His music can be heard in several films including the feature film "Anywhere but Here," and a re-release of songs that were recorded for Newland Records. Darren Scott now lives quietly in the midwest of the United States. His company, "MultiMedia Group International" is in pre-production with a documentary featureing famous musicians originating from the State of Ohio and is also producing the Feature film (TATTOO). People like: Bootsy Collins, Trent Ressnor, Joe Walsh, Macy Gray, Howard Jones, Willy Pheonix, Dean Martin, Chris Hind, The Breeders and many others will be included. The film will document the past 100 years of music from the state of Ohio. Bands of Darren Scott The Fashion Plates Orion Waltons The Young Professionals Liyeza
