I'm a filmmaker , I graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago as a painter and spent some twenty years painting large abstract canvases. The principles of Modernism , which I consider to be Conceptualism , Pop Culture , and Minimalism are principles I use in my films . My interest in film , is as it was in painting - self expression - this I sometimes do through self portraiture .
